Snowy ramble + chocolate muffins = winter love
Aloha everyone!
Today I have for you Chocolate Muffins - I baked those pink guilty pleasures to help Santa spread some gifts for polite friends, but who said you cannot prepare them today and make somebody's Monday 11th by dropping a homemade cake in their bags? Let's be Santa whole December round, shall we?
I'm blessed to toss you some inspirational winter math for your soon-to-Christmas Sunday. Hope you'll like and and stop for a while just as I managed to.
Have your SlowFood moment
Stop on Sunday also means slow food for me that's why from time to time you can expect some recipes and culinary adventures here on my page! ❤
Personal note:
I adore cooking so much and feel so happy in the kitchen that once I wanted to go to Cordon Bleu Paris. Then I discovered tuition fees and the fact that I can't stand blue cheese taste. Well, in another life, I guess! Anyone had similar plans?

The chocolate muffins recipe originates from great polish culinary blog Kwestia Smaku (Matter of Taste), but as always I experimented with it a little. Here is the translated version, so you wouldn't waste time and heat up your ovens n o w.
INGREDIENTS: (for 12 cups)
- 150g butter
- 150g chocolate (I definitely chose dark one)
- 300g flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 spoons cocoa (I had 3)
- 1 glass sugar (I chose brown)
- 1 spoon vanilla sugar/2 teaspoons vanilla extract (add some fresh vanilla seeds, they're the best!)
- 2 big eggs
- 170 ml milk
- strawberry patisserie baking sprinkle
JUST:
1. Preheat the oven tp 180C.
2. Melt the butter, let cool and cut the chocolate into really small pieces.
3. In one big bowl riddle flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa. Add sugar and stir well, set aside.
4. Whisk eggs with milk and vanilla extract/seeds.
5. Combine all ingredients together using spoon: firstly eggs&milk mixture, then butter, chocolate at the end. Don't stir too much, just until flour disappears.
6. Pour the mixture in the muffin forms, make them a strawberry sprinkle (it gives extra cracking between teeth) and bake about 25 minutes (I baked 20), until top gets crispy.
*7. Spread among the beloved ones.

I cannot wait until SlowFood 2018, as I'm going to invest in Slow Cooker machine. My best friend has it already and besides having 1238423874 cooking & frying options it may also... help you bake a cheesecake.
It's quite a lot of money, so I needed to choose the best option and as I started this blog I got in touch with super friendly Jacqueline - one of the contributors to Reviews.com. People there make regular research on the products and choose the best one on the market to save the time you would spend doing the same on your own. I'm not writing this to make here a fake promotion, but really these guys make some grunt work on the Net and helped me to save some precious Sunday moments. So ended up here the culinary matters, you should check them, too!
Serve yourself a snowy ramble
That's one of the goals I literally noted in my calendar for December. At least once, move this comfy butt and go for a walk. I know, babies it's cold outside, and to be honest 2-3 years ago I would also prefer hiding under blanket with a book than putting my already freezing toes into huge winter shoes.
Fortunately, I've discovered how beautiful and unique Winter is and if you're not convinced yet - I hope you'll change your mind just as I did. If you love the season already, here is just a friendly illustrated reminder of what you can expect from random snowy ramble:

It doesn't matter where you live and for how long you set off.
Closing your eyes and breathing in the coldest and the most fresh air wave in the year may turn your peace back immediately.
And when you breath it out, all the problems you've faced this week become easier to bear.
You now may come home, grab a muffin and chill out completely. There is so much winter love around.
See you next Sunday,
Julia
