Smonday warning!
Aloha Guys!
I'm starting this page out with a very present-day (literally) issue, which we should all try to face and overcome as this distracting phenomenon may affect any improvement action of our weekly happiness.
I mean: Smonday.
Let's illustrate it with a big marzipan (choose any other paste you dislike) road sign. Let's pass that sign. Now.
To begin with, for all you who hadn't heard this word before - Smonday works lively in an English language and has even got its own dictionary definition.
It can be described as the period of emotions-packed time a human struggles with between Sunday and Monday. It's also said that Smonday phenomenon involves bigger intake of caffeine than for regular rate and less amount of sleep of the struggled. What I found especially interesting was the scientifically researched conclusion, that the phenomenon can occur mostly among the employees in the business fields of work as well as in college students environment.
However, I believe that, besides this psychological mini-essay about Smonday, everyone knows what I'm now talking about. Like, each of us may probably quickly recall one moment in our life when during Sunday afternoon or evening, the Rush of Work was laughing and teasing us with a company of Lady Frustration whose loud knocking at our Door of Time has became too upsetting. These two feelings actually break the peaceful rhythm of Sunday, interrupt our relationships and even cause some under-eye bags just at the beginning of a new week.
Of course, we're only humans and I also sometimes remind myself about the undone work at 23:59 on Sunday. But, hey, IT IS possible to organise your timetable differently and eliminate Smonday from your life.
Hopefully, we'll manage to tweak it, but who I am mostly worried about are these people who openly live the philosophy titled: from weekend to weekend. These two days (two and a half if you include post-work Friday) are, indeed, a perfect occasion to to talk with the beloved ones, to read a book, stretch up a bit, get some warm cocoa, to live life in general, but weekend doesn't delete other 5 days of the week, right?
And I unfortunately observe the people, who more or less aware of that, delete Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (just in case you're in the group and forgot how the days are named), Thursday and Friday. They're so overwhelmed, that even at weekend they get bombed with the frustrating feeling of Smonday. Afterwards, they don't even have a rest they've been waiting whole five days for so impatiently.
Catch-22 hard.
So, this week, I just wanted you to consider whether you've ever faced such Smondays and if so: What was the most difficult?
How did you deal with those?
It's excatly 23.38 when I'm typing it and I hope you're not somewhere lost in all this chaos. If so, please remember, you are not alone. I'm going to bed now, because today I smashed my Smonday feeling, but you can do it on your own as well. I am sending you my forces, this extraordinary, calming song and big cup of homemade cocoa.
Good luck!
Have a great week and see you next Sunday!
Julia
