My nails typing here may be painted black, but my heart is red and full of love and joy after such a
spectacular spectacular date I had just yesterday.
Yes, I called it a date, because me and my mother took each other out of everything to spend time just together. And from these unique moments we had I've decided to form this simple reflection for today's post:
If you have got your friends around, at some time you may observe that is so easy to fall behind in those friendships you keep in your own family. Overtake this situation. Take an action. Maybe today?
I want you to make a short analysis. Let's sit in silence alone and ask yourself which family members I really care about the most? Judge me if my opinion doesn't match your outlook of family sense but here is my truth of the matter:
In a family you can be connected with blood, but it doesn't mean you treat all of your family members the same way. And sometimes a friend of yours can become closer for you than the somebody from immediate family.
To find ourselves living with people who are really worth our love, we should choose human beings at the same time rejecting all the names or labels which stick to them. They may come from family, from school, work, they can be strangers at the beginning. In a good friendship between human and human it shouldn't really matter if you share DNA or not.
Focus only on these ones you really care about as still there's not enough time in life to take care of everyone, trust me!
But what I've realised over the years is the impression that sometimes, just because someone is a family member, we treat them literally less seriously in this friendship. We simply don't try as much.
For example, we don't call each other, because we find it obvious we keep the contact, right? Or, we don't tell each other compliments or words of appreciation because we believe this person knows well how we perceive them. What for shall we recur? Since we live under the same roof, it should be so obvious mother cooks dinner, father drives to school etc. It's a family, it's a rule!
Is it, really?
I would love to encourage you today, and myself as well, to open eyes widely and see if our beloved ones don't need us a little bit more now? Maybe they crave some time with us, but they love us so much they don't want to interrupt our individual rhythm? Maybe they would like to go out with us, just as with friends, to make something different, to break the routine, to actually get to know each other? Are we too busy?

I was so happy that I spent yesterday entirely on developing my relationship with la maman.
Therefore, I tell you there's one thing I'm absolutely sure about in the world full of runny black-white truths:
Real relationship is a real hardwork. If you and the other side don't try enough, you loose it.
How awful would be to loose the contact you've been having with someone since you were not even born?
See you next Sunday,
Julia
